More of the Oregon Trip

The northern Oregon Coast.  My father surveyed US101 (this stretch of highway) when he was in college.

Our vacation to the Oregon coast has been fun.  We have entertained guests, had wine with dinner, shopped in the tourist shops in Seaside, OR., had wine with dinner, driven to the Tillamook Cheese Factory, had wine with dinner, visited Fort Clatsop (the winter home of Lewis and Clark), and had a fire on the beach with cheese, meat, crackers and of course, wine. We start our long drive home on Thursday.  I have taken lots of pictures and will share when I can.

I talked to our oldest son Nathan, this morning.  He had to stay home and work.  He held the phone up to Milo's ear.  I said "Hi" to him. Nate said his tail was wagging.

Smiles,  David

Well how can you complain about a trip when there was so much wine and dinner . . . :)

Take care,

Sounds like the kind of vacation my husband would like... wine with dinner. He enjoys touring wine country. I've never been to Oregon, but would like to add that to our next vacation travel... we will be going west (I'm in NC). bea

Hi David,

Since I have never been to Oregon I'm glad you shared your trip with us here at J-Land. I would have loved being there to shop in all the tourist shops , having gone to the Tillamook Cheese Factory I'm sure I would have liked that as well. I would have liked going to Fort Clatsop I think that would have been quite interesting. I would really have liked the fire on the beach having a little fireside picnic. I can't wait to read more about your trip. Until then byyyyyye for now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy 4th, David!  I see a face in the clouds.  LOL...I had a dirty mind at first.  My son thought 22 hrs in his Mustang last summer with me was horrific.  You topped that one....glad you made it home safe.  Give Milo a big hug for me....some beautiful country the NW is...Chris

I visited Oregon for a week.. OH MY... the most beautiful coast lines .. they were very peaceful yet powerful.  So different from Florida beaches.  God's work is amazing.
