first snow

Just a quick note to log our 1st measurable snow fall this year.  There is a blue jay and a downy headed wood pecker on the bird feeder.  The wood pecker is hiding on the other side of the 2nd to the left feeder.

Milo does love to run and romp in the snow!

Oh how exciting!  Being raised in AZ I didn't actually see snow until I was in college at Utah!  I got tired of it realy quick when my Grandma and Granddad made me the pfficial shoveler!

BRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  You are the only one who has cold weather it seems!  Everyone else is talking about how the temps are still warm!
Here in Cali we are still dealing with 80+ weather, and my AC is still kicking on!

That looks cold, David! lol

we are supposed to get some snow this week too but they don't think it will stay on the ground. I think with you up in the mountains it must be just the right time..... I have to hurry and finish cleaning up my yard yet.  Did you make a snowball? Sandra

It's going to be a long winter, my friend! I wore a sleeveless dress to school today (NC). The snow is beautiful. I am jealous... I do want to see some snowfall this year. We haven't had any serious snow in several years. I love winter here. It's short, but beautiful.  Stay warm! Thanks for sharing. bea

Beautiful pictures!  I think I have told you that I have always wanted live in Colorado.  Maybe some day.  My husband and I are also in our late 50's, so we need to do it soon.

Wow, is'n't it early even for even for your part of the country? I am still hoping for more warm temps. in the high 60s-low 70's. I am not prepared for a long winter. With the cost of heating oil this year it is going to hard for so many folks up here in New England. I don't mind the snow, (I actually like it.) but those below freezing temps. I do mind. It seems like I can never get warm enough.

Your pictures are beautiful.

Toodles,
Tia

Hello David.....Thanks for sharing the snow with us. I wish it would snow here in Atlanta I would love some snow. I wish you could mail me some. It sure looks beautiful. I really wish I were in Colorado right now to see it for myself. By the way.......I was reading a journal called "Dad's Tomato Garden Journal" and guess what ???? he shared your journal in one of his entries which I was happy about. I told him that I have visited your journal. I am so glad that he mentioned yours because you and him both have wonderful journals. I had to come by and tell you that I saw your journal in his and I knew you would want to know that your journal is being shared in other journals. I also have your journal on my journal page along with the others I happen to like. Thanks for sharing your life with us and I hope you will continue. Until then......good-night.
